His dedication to trustworthy service quickly earned a reputation for excellence, and the company began to grow. In 1990, Ken’s father, Ken Smith Sr., joined the team, bringing over 50 years of HVAC experience and holding a 3rd Class Steam Engineer License in Washington, D.C. Together, they laid the foundation of a family-owned business driven by integrity and expertise.
By 1994, the company had outgrown its humble beginnings and moved into a dedicated property, marking a new chapter in its growth. Ken’s son, Jeremy Smith, joined the company in 1995 at the age of 18, working his way up from technician to General Manager. Today, Jeremy holds a Master HVAC License in Virginia and continues the family’s legacy of hard work, dedication, and service excellence.
Now headquartered in Manassas Park, Virginia, K.W. Smith & Son has evolved into a thriving business with 15 full-time employees. We proudly serve the Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. region, offering the same dependable service envisioned by Ken Jr. over three decades ago.
